Content Filtering – An often overlooked area of network security and networking is content filtering.

Most business are aware of the database solutions that categorize millions of websites and either allow or deny their users access. With Google listing literally billions of web-sites, what happens when the site is not categorized? Do you allow those users access and risk your network to malicious content or deny access and limit workforce office productivity?

CTC knows a better way. Our solutions have dynamic ratings of sites (classified on the fly), and control the content of a website versus just blocking it. With internet access as the primary cause for larger WAN pipes, wouldn’t be nice if you could control the network data content received and spend more money on gateway connections?

CTC can show you how to block web-advertisements within a web-site (eg. MSN, AOL, CNN, Yahoo), or control streaming content from both size and repetition (stream once, serve many). There are also many other network monitoring controls that can be brought to the internet: Time of Day (website access only before or after work), total website time (read news sites for only 15 minutes per day), block postings within a web-site, and not allowing any active content to execute without express permission.
